which machete is better? Gerber gator Jr or Cold Steel Kukri Machete?
i just want to know what is the better machete
Gerber makes the best steel blades, I used to sell knives and know this to be a fact. Their customer service is also second to none and most of their products are still made under their own manufacturing supervision and quality control, not subcontracted to Chinese and Indian factories like most other blade makers. it is also a more conventional straight style — curved blades like kukri models often cause inexperienced users to cut themselves badly. I’d recommend the Gerber — but make sure it is not one of the recalled older models before they added the top blade guard:

Frankly, it puzzles me why most people would want a machete, unless they are doing yard work or working on a sugar plantation. They are bulky to carry and have limited use in most situations. But, if you really do need one, spend your bucks on Gerber and you can’t go wrong.
